The Weekly Quiz is a general-knowledge quiz for the self-proclaimed trivia nerds out there. Every week we publish 25 questions from 5 completely random topics. History buff, film addict, sports fan or nature-lover, there should be a little something in there for everyone.
The Weekly Quiz is released every Saturday morning around 8am.
Of course! If you think you’ve got some good topics that should be covered, send them through via the Contact tab and we’ll try and squeeze them in.
It’s simple, if you subscribe, we will send you the quiz on Saturday morning via SMS. Don’t worry, there will be no spam, just a link to the latest quiz! This feature is only available to Australian mobile numbers. We will send you the quiz for the first 3 months for free, after that you will need to become a member to continue recieving the SMS reminder.
Well, sort of. You can access the first 3 quizzes for free. After that, you will only be able to view 10 out of 25 questions. If you want to continue to see the full quiz each week you can sign-up for our monthly membership!
Unfortunately, running this website incurs some time and cost. Having members helps keep the Weekly Quiz community up and running!
When signing up for a membership we require your name, phone number, username, email and payment details. Please do not make your username the same as your email. The username appears on Leaderboards so should not contain any personal details.
Promoter
The promotion is conducted by The Weekly Quiz (“the Promoter”).
Promotion Period
The promotion runs continuously each calendar month. Entries close at 11:59 AM (AEST/AEDT) on the final Sunday of each month. The winner will be drawn on the final Sunday of the month.
Eligibility
To enter, you must:
- Be an Australian resident.
- Have an active Instagram account.
- Comply with these Terms & Conditions.
How to Enter
To receive one (1) entry into the monthly prize draw:
- Complete the weekly quiz.
- Share either your Quiz Team or your Quiz Score to your Instagram Story.
- Tag @theweeklyquiz_ in your Story.
Each eligible weekly Story share counts as one (1) entry into that month’s draw.
A maximum of one (1) entry may be earned per weekly quiz.
Story Requirements
Your Instagram Story must:
- Clearly tag @theweeklyquiz_.
- Be posted during the relevant weekly quiz period.
- Remain visible on Instagram for at least 24 hours.
- Comply with Instagram’s Community Guidelines.
Stories that cannot be verified may be deemed ineligible.
Prize
One winner will receive AUD $100.
The prize will be paid via Australian bank transfer. The winner will be required to provide their Australian bank account details in order to receive the prize.
The prize is not transferable, exchangeable or redeemable for any other benefit.
The Promoter reserves the right to substitute the prize with another prize of equal value if necessary.
Winner Selection
The winner will be selected at random from all eligible entries received during the promotion period.
The draw will take place on the final Sunday of each month using a random selection method.
The Promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
Winner Notification
The winner will be contacted via Instagram Direct Message and/or any contact details provided to The Weekly Quiz within seven (7) days of the draw.
If the winner cannot be contacted, does not respond within fourteen (14) days, or does not provide the required bank account details, the Promoter reserves the right to redraw the prize.
Verification
The Promoter may request reasonable proof that an entrant:
- Is the owner of the Instagram account used to enter.
- Has complied with these Terms & Conditions.
Failure to provide requested information may result in disqualification.
Invalid Entries
Entries may be deemed invalid if:
- The Instagram Story cannot be verified.
- False or misleading information has been provided.
- The Promoter reasonably believes the entry has been manipulated, duplicated or created fraudulently.
Privacy
Information collected for this promotion, including bank account details provided by the winner, will only be used to administer the giveaway, verify eligibility, contact the winner and pay the prize.
Bank account details will only be retained for as long as reasonably necessary to complete payment and comply with legal obligations.
The Promoter will not sell or disclose personal information except where required by law.
Limitation of Liability
The Promoter accepts no responsibility for late, lost, incomplete, delayed or incorrectly submitted entries, technical failures, Instagram outages or any other circumstances beyond its reasonable control.
Changes to the Promotion
The Promoter reserves the right to amend, suspend or cancel the promotion where necessary due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control or where required by law.
Instagram Disclaimer
This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by or associated with Instagram. By entering, participants release Instagram from any responsibility relating to this promotion.
